what is a zivnostensky list

A živnostenský list is a business license in the Czech Republic.

If you wish to become self employed in the Czech Republic you will need to use a Živnostenský List.
The law that governs živnostenský list is the 1991 Trade Licensing Act.
The trade licensing act allows non Czechs to undertake business under the same conditions and rules as those of a Czech citizen.

There was a change in the živnostenský zakon (trade license laws) in 2008.

Under the old system, when you registered with the živnostenský úřad you were issued a živnostenský list. This is no longer the case. If you register to be self employed nowadays, you are entered in the the Trade License Register. What you get from a živnostenský úřad is a výpis.

A výpis is an "extract" from the Trade License Register to say that you are self employed.
There are times when you will be asked to provide your výpis, such as when you register for health insurance.
