Health insurance companies registered with the CNB
To find if your health insurance company is registered with the CNB (Czech national bank) is bit of a chore.
You need to go to the Czech national bank website
once you are on the CNB website you need to follow the link:
In the middle at the top of the page:
Seznamy bank a dalších subjektů finančního trhu
You will be asked to accept a security certificate.
This is not a problem. The certificate is issued by the national bank.
This should take you to a page in Czech. There is a link on the left to change the language to English.
Click on the "Search" link on the left hand side if the page.
On the search page enter your insurance company name in the box "Institution Name:"
For example: "bupa"
If your insurance company shows up then it is registered with the Czech national bank.
