Databox

Datove schranky how to.

The Czech government is implementing a system called Datove Schranky. This is so that government offices can communicate with the owners of SROs.
It is intended that this system will replace registered letters. So it IS important that you start to use the system.

You can ignore the system. But if a government offices sends you an email on this system (say for instance the tax office) it is considered that you received the email.

Yes yes. You say you did not get the email? Really? Do you think the tax office will care?

They sent it. So, you got it. This is not just you. This is for ALL owners of an SRO.

As a non Czech start setting upi the system for yourself. Or get ready to finding someone who can argue with the relevant offices that you didn't know.

The databox system is coming on line. Government offices are starting to use the system and they are beginning to send email through the databox system.

The tax offices are starting to use the system, so you have been warned.

If you have an SRO you will start to receive email through this system.

If you have a computer tech. in your office, talk to them have them help you set up the system on your PC. If not try the Datove schranky how to.
page.

You may come across a screen that looks like this.

This is telling you that the system is closed for a moment, due to technical reasons.

Linux users....  Plan on using windows.

You can access the databox using Firefox. BUT. you will not be able to read any mail. The system seems to only fully work with windows.

This article is relative to the introduction of the Databox system the Czech government is implementing as of 1st July 2009.

The Czech government site Datove schranky

One of the main requirements on an S.R.O. is that the Jednatel or responsible person is contactable by the state. Hence a Sidlo.

The trade courts/government want to be able to contact the jednatel or Odpovedni zastupce at all times.
The government is trying to bring this up to date and is issuing, what they call, "databoxes".
(This process has been on the cards for a while.)
Your databox is supposed to be a "secure" place where the Czech government can contact the Jednatel of a company by email.

Data mailboxes will be automatically issued to new companies.

The data mailboxes are for electronic mail correspondence with the government.
Users will not be able to use data boxes to communicate with each other.

If you have any type of S.R.O. (even a property holding S.R.O.) you will be getting a registered letter from the trade courts.

Your company will receive a letter, most probably a registered letter some time in June/July 2009.

The Jednatel/Odpovedni zsstupce will have to sign for as proof of receipt.

The letter will (probably) contain your "new" contact details.
After that you will have a certain amount of time to log on to your new account and register yourself into the new system with the trade courts.

If you have moved your Sidlo and not registered the move with the trade courts then, it is possible you can be fined.
(This is also for non EU zivnostensky List holders who by law have to register their zivnostensky Lists with the trade courts)

If you are a non EU zivnostensky List holder, S.R.O. Odpovedni zastupce, Odpovedni zastupce for some one els's S.R.O., Odpovedni zastupce for someones elses zivnostensky List (non EU), then this will (again, probably) relate to you as well.

And just for good measure, yes this is most probably going to be in Czech.
