Health travel insurance for visiting the Czech Republic
Applicants for a multiple Schengen (short-term) visa submit a proof of travel health insurance for the first trip.
After the first application, they are required to sign a statement saying that they are obliged to povide travel health insurance for the subsequent trips.
In order for a Schengen (short-term) visa to be issued, travel health insurance must provide coverage in all the Schengen area states.
In the case of short term visas applicants may conclude travel health insurance in the country of their residence. If it is not possible, they can conclude a travel health insurance in any country.
The travel medical insurance must confirm to the following requirements:
1. coverage of costs incurred as a result of medical repatriation, emergency medical and hospital treatment, or death;
2. coverage of up to the amount of at least 30,000 EUR;
3. cover the entire period of your stay in the Schengen area;
4. cover the entire territory of the Schengen area.
