Changes for the entry and stay in CR 2011
There were some very specific rule changes as of January 1st this year.
It seems that the laws were designed to stop the SRO visa rules being abused.
SROs need to exist for business. The SRO system was not generous but what there was, has been abused.
People have visas for business purposes and then, do no business. Pay no tax, health or social in this country.
So the government brought in laws to stop this.
By mid February the foreign police are still adapting to the new laws.
The intenetion of the new laws seems to be the closing down the gaps on SRO and zivnosts system.
If you earn no money or claim you earn no money on your SRO or zivnost there is a high chance that you residence permit will not be renewed.
Also imprtant is, if suddenly a large sum turns up in your bank account just before visa renewal time, then you may well be asked to provide bank statements for the rest of the previous year.
If there are no other transactions for the business. It is possible that a visa/residence permit renewal can be refused.
It appears the Czech govenment now wants SRO and zivnost holders to pay tax health and social.
The easy days are over.
